In June 2019, the project “Assistance in the Donbas environmental monitoring system expansion” (hereinafter the Project) was launched. It continues activities towards the environmental safety in Eastern Ukraine and is supported by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine.

At present, the Project experts - Ecoplatform specialists perform the preparatory stage on the project component "Environmental audit of the most hazard industrial enterprises in Eastern Ukraine and in-depth environmental threats analysis with a special focus on TMF safety operation".

The kick-off meeting of Project component stakeholders will take place in Kyiv on  August 1, 2019. The participants will discuss the interaction mechanisms and identify priority enterprises-TMF operators that first of all need comprehensive research.

Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the State Agency for Water Resources, the State Emergency Service, regional state administrations, the State Environmental Inspectorate territorial bodies, Siverskyi Donets River Basin Authority and OSCE are invited to participate in the event.
